I have a nokia 3650, which has great features, but is a bit large and files on the phone cannot be read with the 770. I was wondering if anyone had found the best phone to marry with the 770?

If you haven't yet visited the ITT Wiki then you should. It has a link to the Maemo Wiki on this subject and is a good starting point.

I was planning to update the Wiki with my cingular blackberry 7100g, which pairs, but does nothing else, but was looking for opinions on whether phones that don't work would confuse others? Opinions???

Just got a Nokia 6151 and it works well.

I used the finnish phone-comparison site http://puhelinvertailu.com to list all phones with gprs+edge+3g+bluetooth and this is the cheapest one in that list; 222 eur. Very nice to pair the phone, access files on the phone wirelessly, get online anywhere just like that.

I use a Nokia N70, works well for internet and file transfer.
The 770 also makes a good viewer for photos taken with the 770's camera.

I use the 770 with my LG Chocolate (VX8500) and it works well. It also works with my wife's LG VX 8600 flip phone.

I have a Nokia 3650 ( GPRS ) and a Nokia 6682 (EGPRS). They can be paired easily to the Nokia 770. The Nokia 6682 ( due to EGPRS ), gets me to the web at faster ( 110 Kbps+ download and 72 Kbps+ upload) speed. It also allows me to easily manipulate / read files on the phone.

Photos taken with the Nokia 3650 are better than the ones taken with the Nokia 6682. Also, the 3650 works a whole lot better with my Nokia Bluetooth (HS-4W ) Headset.

I use my Nokia 6620 for EDGE internet access all the time. Works well, although the speed is nothing to write home about.

I use the Nokia N80. It works great, although Cingular's data service is slooooow. Kinda like using a 56k modem at best.

I've hit 1 Mbps with the HSDPA on cingular. With a BT Pan connect, I get around 300kbps on the 770 tethered to a Samsung Blackjack.
