I've updated to version from Extras-devel. When there's no internet connection, gTranslate closes when I touch "Translate" button. And as someone already said, it'd be nice if gTranslate could keep last chosen languages as default.
Any chance for
2007He, 2008He, 2008
N800, N810 ports ?

incompatibility issues
If someone is interested to port and test gTranslate for those versions I can provide the source code. Personally I haven't got any devices with those versions of Maemo.

I'm going fix that but what's the point of using this program without internet connection?

My internet connection is set to "Always ask", so for example, when I click "Update" in the app manager, I get list of available connections. I think such behaviour would be good for gTranslate when I press "translate".
Anyway, thanks for this simple but useful program.
Can you add a button to quicly swap languages?It's already on the web page of Google translator and it's very handy IMO.
Thank you for your consideration and congratulations for your work

Please post the code somewhere (garage project, forum attachment, or other means) and I'm sure someone interested will do it.
I may try to port it if I can find the time. I haven't even gotten around to trying the N900 version yet!

Simple -- queue up the desired translations for later when connectivity is present. That way I can be reading a book in French in FBReader, pop a phrase into gTranslate that I am unsure of, and then see the result 20 minutes later when I am back to a place where I have signal.
This is clearly not as nice as an immediate translation, but still VERY useful.
i've found some problems with the app - sometimes it doesn't translate just copies the word in source language
tried english->polish: lemon showing lemon
.
Odd, I was expecting this to be a failure of Google translate, but when I tested in using the normal Google translate page, "lemon" was translated...
