Nokia has launched a new program that reaches out to consumers for product and service feedback. It's called Nokia Beta Labs and is accessed via http://www.nokia.com/betalabs .

This is your chance to influence the direction the company goes in some respects. Take advantage of it!

Maybe I misunderstand, but it seems like you can only give feedback for the listed "beta" apps, which are all for phones (Nokia makes only phones, remember ? :-). Too bad, there's a whole lot of beta stuff on the 770 just wwaiting to be fixed...

You didn't misunderstand.

The point is that this is an opportunity to offer input PRIOR to the general release of a product or service. Consider it one of the lessons learned, turned into action.

The 770 and even N800 lingering issues *might* have been prevented or at least minimized with this sort of program in place. Cold comfort for those feeling burned, I realize, but I'm simply trying to show progress.

Well, maybe we can dispense with the "omg Nokia isn't even listening at all!!!!" rants.

Surely the proof is in when something *changes*? Accepting comments and acting on them are to very different things ;-)

Hi everyone.

Another way to provide direct feedback would be to go our our spanking new UI team blog and give comments/ideas/feedback to the UI team. We're just starting up the blog in past coming weeks, but all feedback about things you would like to hear from us are definitely welcome. The address is:

Of course. And simply providing a means of direct feedback/input is a change.
