HI all,

My new n800 was working just great, and I was very impressed by how easy it is to install apps from nokia, maemo.org, etc.

However, I jsut re-flashed it with the latest OS update, and now I can't get application manager to do a darn thing-- actually, that's not quite true. If I have only the Nokia catalogs enabled, then *sometimes* it can refresh the package list, but not always. I have yet to get it to refresh with maemo.org enabled.

What I get is a dialog that says "Downloading 1kb" then it stalls and stalls. Sometime, it will get to the next step: 'downloading 5kb", or even to "downloading 38kb" (rarely), but then stalls again.

Even with the application catalog updated (with just nokia repositories), it frequently fails to be able to install a new package.

All this with web browsing working fine, so it doesn't appear to be a networking issue.

This is driving me crazy!!! I have no idea how to even try to debug it -- the fact that it works a tiny bit sometimes really has me confused.

Any ideas?

Thanks, -Chris

In the App Manager, click on the top right to get the menu. Or use the Menu hardware button.

Then look for the Logs.

Clear the logs. Then try your App Manager update again. Then go back to the logs and copy and paste it here so that we can see what's going on...
