anyone else have trouble or success setting up a yahoomail account on their N900? I set my account up many times with what I know are the correct credentials, but i always get kicked back and told that that password is wrong...

I checked the advanced settings and it looked like the phone is trying to use imap? I don't think that works for regular yahoo webmail accounts?

Yep
Have it working using Nokia Messaging. Yahoo Mail only does POP if you are going to hook in directly, and you get the server address from your yahoo account, once you have enabled POP access.

go with Nokia Messaging as it pushes mails to you

While this works it should not continually be given out as an answer to the problem. This phone is capable of pop3 acess and should be able to do that under the email client. Using a propritary service that will eventually cost money, is slower than native email protocols, and poorly implemented is not a solution, but for now seems to be the only answer. I'm sure nolkia will fix the client in time though.
