At least, I think that is the issue...

I noticed just recently that photos in the default photo viewer, are displayed stuck in portrait when in slideshow mode, although display fine when in edit/options mode....

When in slideshow mode, the accelerometer will not work at all, will not change orientation as I move the device...

So I thought the problem was the photo viewer, until I opened the phone app...

The phone app automatically opens into portrait mode and is stuck there, will not change to landscape at all....

This was all working fine when I got the device, and I can't think of any settings to change or that I may have changed that would cause this.

What can I do to fix this?

I was going to do a whole format and reinstall.....but I dont see how and can not find any topics or documentation on how to do so...

Help anyone

I surely did, many times, with no success.

Strangely though, the first time I noticed this problem, it was in the photo viewer, and when in slideshow mode, the photos were stuck in portrait facing west...

Once I did a reboot, then changed to being stuck in portrait, but facing east, and has not changed from that position since...

I also attempted the option found in the App Manager to reset the settings, but that made no difference either.

EDIT.

I just tried yet another reboot, and the screen went all funny, parts blacked out, parts of programs showing, stuck like that for about 20 seconds...then it did not shut down properly, just restarted immediately....so I tried turning off and on again....and guess what? now it's all working fine.

Bah!

Cant believe I have managed to get this thing to crash and bug out so many times already...
Still far superior than my old N97 though.
