I have been to curious again and went not via ovi-store directly but http://maemo.nokia.com/maemo-select/...1/0/0/#content
works for me.
including frings, though i do not need that app so far.
have fun.
did download qik and it simply starts the apps manager.
if this is all nokia has for the ovi-store so far, well it is a bit lame but better than nothing.

I wonder when Nokia gets its act together with this Ovi stuff;
I just visited the Ovi Store again, which I haven't done in a while, tried to find the N900 in the device list but couldn't find it so I closed the dialog. Now I get every time an error message in the Flash video saying
faultCode:Server.Error.Request faultString:'null' faultDetail:'null'
I can tap on a button saying "null".
It is just so embarrassing for Nokia to have these kinds of errors on their services.

4) The open the ovi store again. You will see something different.

And then I am faced with this error message. I didn't try to trick the OVI Store or anything and that is what irritates me even more than not having officially support for N900 in OVI Store.

Thanks for the tip! This hack did work for me too - cool
But you are right, I didn't do that, but I wanted to use the OVI Store first as a normal customer with an N900And then I am faced with this error message. I didn't try to trick the OVI Store or anything and that is what irritates me even more than not having officially support for N900 in OVI Store.

- and the testing one is building up fast!
The Nokia N900 page used to say "Software Update Coming Soon," now it doesn't.
Although... we all know when soon is... coughacouplemonthscough...
