Understand an emulator fakes through software everything a system does, and a pc also does windows for windows games and windows has alot of crap to it that slows it down. A computer basically has to fake another computer & its operating system. An old console's operating system had one purpose TO PLAY GAMES! A computer operating system is like lots of programs running together, that do may different things(internet, word processing, view porn, etc). And then u give a much bigger harder problem of trying to run your game. Yes theres emulators for pc like qemu and bochs but are much too slow for an n900. An n900 CAN run pc games if they are emulated through DOSBOX and are made for dos. Remember Oregon Trail in school? Dosbox could do games like that. Also pc games that are OPEN SOURCE can be ported to play on n900, not emulated. Problem is, there ain't too many... "Source" means the code & engine language written (1s and 0s,C++,etc) used to develop the game and tell your computer what to do.. Open means any one can view it
though Quake 3 arena is cool as is open arena, both are open source. Duke Nukem is pretty wicked little open source game too.
Don't give up hope on Mortal Kombat 4, instead hope someone releases a really good full speed playstation emulator and re-buy it for playstation.

yes you understand correctly

even dosbox is still miles away from achieving playable speed in most games

this is normal, as a full cpu emulation is needed rather than just translation (in case the cpu was of the x86 family)

As those were Nintendo-exclusive releases I doubt they will run on a Playstation emulator...

Really? Your replying like this? EDIT: didn't see the smiley, think your joking not being hypocritical.

Anyway, daedalus is a open source portable n64 emulator for pc and psp. On psp it's still has some errors and not quite full speed. I think if someone worked on it and tailored it for n900 it could be possible if it leveraged the gpu and was extremely optimized. Though I find it unlikely as n64 emulation is kinda hard I hear. They said it couldn't be done on psp, and well mario 64 is fully playable at almost full speed on a psp. Zelda OoT is close.
