I would like to talk personally to some serious Nokia folk, to solve these issues.......
Normally... I would agree with this. But Maemo is a different beast... Nokia has no way to not to listen to Maemo because the community drives it.

Just look around, and the next couple of firmware updates will address mostly what people in this community are either complaining about, wished to have fixed or added or have contributed fixes to... and have been assisted by other community members or Nokia/Maemo members.

And by personally wishing to talk to some Nokia folk, stick around. There's quite a few that hang around and are very responsive. Heck, they've even responded to me a few times... that's saying a lot

The iphone is physically a very slim device, and slightly longer. The N900 is thick (due to the keyboard) and shorter, and heavier. That alone points it to another segment in the market, away from the iphone. You can do what you will with the software, it won't make the N900 an iphone killer. It's not designed for it. Which is fine: The iphone doesn't have anything I want. It has everything my nephew wants. Which, again, is fine.

Who's this "we" you're talking about ? Are these "we" also the XX million people who bought (and are still buying) Archoses, iPod Touches or any of the previous Nokia tablets ? Also, aren't you shooting just a wee bit high with "a device that can offer us everything and more" ?

You are making this up. The "slogan" was used in the title of this 3rd party review: http://blogs.zdnet.com/cell-phones/?p=2752

You are still making this up. I did google it, I'm not an idiot.

Here's your proof that it was used in the title of just that one CNET review

    Your argument is overruled.
