    Hi,

Can someone advise me what is the use for those many emulator applications that have been added lately? Are these actually games that i can play on my N900?

Sorry for my ignorance and stupidity.....

    Thank you

The software you are talking about are emulators. They install a virtual machine/console on your device, you then add games and run them on the virtual games machine.I dont know how to put the games on or where to get them from but thats pretty much the way they work.

If you have the ROM's for whatever emulator you are using, then yes... but no the emulator itself is not a game to play, just like the Nintendo or Gameboy are not games. They allow you play games made for, of course, the Nintendo or Gameboy.

People have converted the games for Nintendo and Gameboy and <insert XYZ emulator here> to certain files usually referred to as ROM's (I think) that you can then load into an emulator on your computer and play your favorite NES game.

Keep in mind if you're US.. this is only legal if you legally own a copy of the Game that you possess the ROM for.

At least, I assume that's the emulators you are referring to.

Also, you may want to make more descriptive titles in the future.
