this post is just to ask is there is some open office aplication on the maemo community. I would like to open excel and word documents on maemo but not with the "docs to view".Thanks!

There's KOffice, but it's just a viewer. You can run OpenOffice through Easy Debian (editor)

You can also use Google Docs (also editor)

I would suggest abiword and gnumeric.
Detailed in Easy Debian Fremantle Testing...

but they already advice you that this works quite slow.

I think that could be nice to do a maemoopenoffice as project at the garage.maemo.org.....

Is it possible to download koffice for maemo 5 yet? Or is it still in early development? Refering to this, there should be something out, soon?: http://labs.trolltech.com/blogs/2009...ed-on-koffice/
