Hi to everyone, i've a problem to change desktop background on my n900.

If i go in desktop menu -> change background nothing appens (i can't see the popup menu to chose my background).

This problem is from 2/3 days and i don't know why....any idea?

I'll read, but i don't understand why after 1 month with no problem, now i get this problem.

I can change desktop background only opening an image and choose "set as wallpaper", but if i want a loopable wallpaper i have to do this for each screen...

Ok i read, and so? In the manual says that i've to go in desktop menu and choose desktop background, but in my case nothing appens....

Connect your N900 to a PC via USB in "Mass Storage mode". Browse the N900 drive from the PC and look for a .images directory.

If you can not find the .images directory, that may be your problem.

unbelievable !! A wrong .desktop file downloaded from here
http://www.n900wallpapers.com/wallpaper/la-geode

I change in _01 , _02 , _03 , _04 everything works now.

I had the same problem after downloading loopable wallpapers from the internet. It turns out that the fault was with the .desktop file not pointing to the correct locations for the images. I ended up following a guide to creating loopable wallpapers on thenokiablog.com, changed the .desktop file accordingly, and i've had no problems since.

Had the same issue with n900wallpapers.com. I had all the files in .images so I just edited the .desktop files and added this to the path

hey,
iv just got this problem today.iv changed my wallpaper by desktop settings.it changed.but then i tried to replace my original background.but i cant do it!

i formated my internal memory,restored factory settings... but nothing changed... =(

i cant even change it by "set as wallpaper"

please help me... im going to re-install the phone software by nokia sof.updater...

shall i do it...?
