Hmm I've had mine for about a week, I can see lines of wear, but no silver-like scratches. It's bound to happen, do you have any on your keyboard?

had mine for about a month, no scratches. You might want to check there is not some sand or grit in there that is jamming and causing the scratches?

Why don't I ever get any problems other people are having with N900. Hmm, maybe shouldn't have said that aloud. 6 weeks now, no scratches.

Ive had my n900 for about a week and i have faint scratches on the back of my lcd as well. These scratches, although faint, really bug me. Anyone one else experiencing this?

I think they come from your fingernail. Let me guess, vertical scratches on the right half of your screen? Should come from scrolling

That is why I put a screen protector on it, despite not liking them.

Best regards,
Corwin

No i meant the back housing plate of the screen is scratched. it comes from the sliding mechanism. Its unfortunate that its causing this even with careful use but what can you do?
