1. Open the Contacts application on your N900 and create a new contact called Pixelpipe, you’ll then need to select “add field” and scroll down and select the type of IM service you’re utilizing such as Google Talk or Ovi.

so i need to have a google talk or ovi IM account set up in order to do this?

Yeah, you need a Google Talk account or an Ovi account to use it.
