I do not want to be party pooper, but this is just completely stupid and childish idea. Why should you downgrade yourself to same level as some fanboys of any device.

I could say something about teenagers but that would be stupid so let's not start with that.

And in my opinion JesusPhone is quite controversial term as would also GodPhone. It represent in some level religion which has damaged our civilization (off course man, but its good excuse) on so many levels that I get shiverings from only thinkig about that stuff. Religios way of thinking* or understanding in some levels blocks your critical thinking and for me represent what fanboyism is at its deepest level.

*Talking just on my behalf and my experiences with Western Christianity so yeah there is whole world of different religions and I respect different kind of people to some level at least. I´m trying to not to step in bees nest here :P

Agreed, my comments were trying to highlight the stupidity of the comparison.

Religious talk is banned for a good reason on talk.maemo.org, don't you remember.

But the N900 would be the satan's phone as it's free (as in freedom) and not bound to any rules.

BTW:

I only know the word "Jesus Phone" (or jPhone) as a way to make fun of Apple-fanbois who think that St. Jobs is the Messiah and who are trapped in his Reality Distortion Field. People who do own Apple products (or aren't strictly anti-Apple) react negatively when somebody uses this term.

Is this different in the U.S. (or, more general, in English speaking countries)? Does "Jesus Phone" have a positive meaning there?
