I can't load ROMs right now. I copied about a dozen of them that I used to use in SNES9X on the PC into a folder I created on my n900. My n900 can see the folder but it can't see the files. The folders appear empty. They are *.SMC files. Help?
I am pretty sure this is being covered in two threads already, but either way... you have to rename your files to lowercase ".smc", since the extension filter is case sensitive.
so is it possible to safely install drnoksnes if you have the .deb-files (of version 1.2.4, that is)?
are they optified?
how do i install them manually?
Guys, I apologise for my stupidity but I cannot get extras-devel to work. the repo constantly fails to update (404). I need the zeemote libs to use DrNokSnes. I have the details down correctly. Any ideas what's going wrong?
This one is optified, http://depot.javispedro.com/drnoksne..._fremantle.deb (though it's not user ready either, since you have to know the task switch key combination) . On newer packages I rely on the autobuilder for optification.
i just downloaded the version 1.2.5 from extras devel (yeah i know risky bla bla)
so i also installed zeemote, but how do i get it to recognize my wiimote?
i pressed the connect-button on the wiimote and pushed "scan" on the zeemote-settings, but nothing happens.

You don't want zeemote - that's the driver for an actual zeemote (cf. zeemote.com)
You want to get wiicontrol - its also in extras devel. I'm not going to give a disclaimer because you've obviously seen it!
Once you've installed wiicontrol (some people report it asking for python - if it does, install a python editor from maemo extras), you may need to edit the wiicontrol file to change key mappings (or to view them full stop)... Am happy to post instructions of how to do that if needs be.
It involes the lovely sudo gainroot command though!
Once you've got it all installed, make sure bluetooth is on before you start wiicontrol, and you'll need to have started the wiimote searching before you start the prog too. It should then find it.

This is probably the wrong place to ask about adding repositories, but I remember when I was trying to work out what a repository was and how to add it that a few folk were less than helpful... so, your settings should read as follows:
I'd highly recommend not using this repo however if you don't know what you're doing... things are in development and could brick your phone etc etc etc.
