lets talk again over sygic.
i've had it on my nokia e71 and i've kicked tomtom because of that...
i like sygic and i will pay for it if they don't give me a review version
tomorrow i will call them, maybe i can get some more news about it, when exactly they start selling this, i hope i can download just maps for florida like i done with garmin, i don't need for whole us for now waste of space on memory card
Android platform is offering free navigation.
Nokia should offer the same if they want to compete.
One solution is to just buy Sygic (the whole company or just the app)
and offer it for free.
Another option is to improve Ovi Maps.
Nexus becomes cheaper than N900 considering the free navigation.
Only if you're in the US (and possibly Canada) - the rest of the world don't get free navigation.

I agree, free navigation on high end phones would be a smart move for Nokia. However, they don't need to buy Sygic for that, they already bought NAVTEQ, who makes excellent maps and software for navigation devices.

Excellent point. Then they should just provide better Ovi Maps.
The competition is harsh, they should use their resources ("NAVTEQ") to beat others.
Nokia always says "We have the 50% of smartphone market", OK but you are losing to others.
First, they enter the touchscreen phone market late.
Second their current OS (Symbian) is not good as iphone's or Android's.
So because someone doesn't speak or write perfect english is manglish how many languages do you speak ?
