    61.7Mb free, 72% in use.

    Just removed IOQuake3.

    Couldnt they made the rootfs a little bigger FFS!

    removing IOquake3 FIXED MY ISSUE

    BTW, if I just install ioquake3 again after the update, can I just play it straight away since the .pk3 files are still on the phone? Or do I need to set it all up again?

    So does this mean, I need 99.6Mb free in rootfs?? I have 58Mb at the minute?

    I had 62mb and it went though fine - other posts and in here have mentioned 45 - but i'd suggest 60 is a nice sexy figure for safety

    After it i had 55mb free - so lost about 7/8mb.

    There are many posts on here about cleaning the rootfs - but i went from 30mb to 62mb by doing a few simple steps
    • Disable extras-testing and extras-dev catalogues
    • <Reboot>
    • Go into X-Terminal (You need the root access app - rootsh - to continue this part)
    Code:
    Sudo Gainroot
    <enter>
    Code:
    apt-get install pymaemo-optify
    <enter>
    Code:
    apt-get clean
    <enter>
    Reboot

    Check your rootfs space again

    Did u get the previous update? (it is a requirement).

    or do it thru PC Suite, but be careful cuz it remove the icons of all ur installed applications.
    Just in case, do a backup of ur files, images, contacts,...

    I agree!!!
    I know the argument about cost, an extra chip etc etc...
    But 1gb would have been alot nicer - also would remove 60% of the posts on this forum though!

    from a End User perspective this is not an update, this is just a fix/patch of their work.
    As End User I see nothing new. just some things fixed/tunned.

    So far so good. Latest firmware applied. No errors and MFE 2003 works (Email, Calendar, Task and Contacts) like a charm. Winner all round really..

    Quite a list of fixes. Shows that first focusing on fixing and optimizing was the right choice. I haven't had any reboots etc. but the list does address several smaller annoyances.

    Especially impressive is that Nokia seems to be listening and exchange with community seems to be steadily increasing. Thank you for your hard work.
