Wow you guys had yours done quick.
I upgraded mine with the application manager. I started it running just before dinner at 6pm. By 6:30 it had finished downloading the files and started "performing update". I went and bathed the kids expecting it to be done when i got back - finished and saw progress bad had only moved by about 2-3 pixels.
I then had to go help our neighbour fix her new TV - got home at about 10pm to see it was around 60% done. About an hour after that i finally saw it reboot and start with the new firmware.
All in all I woudl estimate it took me about 5 hours to apply the update and only 30min to download it.
