For N900 on the main screen with background picture.
how can i auto align those icons.

because i added some shortcuts to the screen but i want them to go the screen center center. and i have a difficult time aligning them.

is there a way to auto align or will it be available on the next update?

That one is easy.... NO!! if you want to align it automatically then keep adding the items until filling up the screen then delete the top and bottom icons. Otherwise it won't do auto alignment from the center. But it will do from top left to bottom right.

Hope this help answer your question. Just use the pen and do a precise drag and drop

just look at this thread:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=37896

i have mentioned tweakr there to adjust the grid size on the desktop where the icons can snap to - so alignment gets much easier.

sorry for the rudeness, but a I need to know how to remove this protocol (Bonjour and sometimes) something like a Pidgin Extra protocol.

The new firmware finally aligns to a grid (4x4 pixels or so). This makes it so much easier to achieve a clean desktop.
If that is not enough, follow the link b666m posted here.

Auto align happens if you pull an item from one desktop to another.

You can edit /usr/share/hildon-desktop/transitions.ini to make it snap even easier. Find this line in the config (at the bottom):

Code:
# Edit mode configuration
[edit_mode]
snap_grid_size = 4
And change that to 8 or something and I'll snap to a bigger grid and its even easier to align stuff.
