For N900 on the main screen with background picture.
how can i auto align those icons.
because i added some shortcuts to the screen but i want them to go the screen center center. and i have a difficult time aligning them.
is there a way to auto align or will it be available on the next update?

The new firmware finally aligns to a grid (4x4 pixels or so). This makes it so much easier to achieve a clean desktop.
If that is not enough, follow the link b666m posted here.
Auto align happens if you pull an item from one desktop to another.
# Edit mode configuration [edit_mode] snap_grid_size = 4

You can edit /usr/share/hildon-desktop/transitions.ini to make it snap even easier. Find this line in the config (at the bottom):
And change that to 8 or something and I'll snap to a bigger grid and its even easier to align stuff.Code:# Edit mode configuration [edit_mode] snap_grid_size = 4
