It seems you can do it on the N770 - see here http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ead.php?t=2929 and here http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...read.php?t=590

I am assuming the N800 will be very similar...

Thanks for the information. I found that after I have installed the Chinese support, the original software keyboard disappeared. Is there any approach that can bring back the original one? It seems to be a good software keyboard.

OUCH!!!

You lost the software keyboard? I think that is one of the best features of the N800!

Maybe I will need wolfg's help on this.
Meanwhile, I found that the fireflysung.ttf doesn't support some GBK characters. While my copied simsun.ttf(from windows xp: simsun.ttc) doesn't contain those punctuation characters, so even it has support for GBK, it's less usable than fireflysung.ttf.
Is there any better font file? In other words, it supports both punctuation and GBK. In fact, I really likes fireflysung.

Meanwhile, I found that the media player cannot recognize some files, while it can recognize some, I cannot tell the criteria behind. Is there any solution for this?
Thanks.

Yes: Don't use Media Player.

Seriously, get Mplayer. It's becoming really really good really really fast.

Thanks. Mplayer is very powerful. But the GUI is not so good.
Maybe I have written not so clearly, here what I means is the ID3 tag display, the media player cannot display the singer, song name from the ID3 tag correctly in Chinese, while can display some, most are wrong decoded. I don't know whether it is the problem of the media player or the mp3. I verified that the file name can be correctly identified by N800.

My mistake, I thought you were talking about movie files. Is Canola any better in recognizing ID3 tags?

Or Konttori's Media Player? http://konttoristhoughts.blogspot.co...y-release.html

Karel, Thank you very much!
Canola cannot display the Chinese file name correctly, I believe this is due to the internal i18n configuration, since there is no Chinese support to now.
I will try to download Konttori's media player, but the site is inaccessible to me because of the Firewall.
