Yeah, I noticed this as well. It's noticeably faster. I remember taking my first picture with the N900 before the update and thinking "Damn, am I using an N95-1 with the initial firmware?"
but what about video recording coz i found that it has from choppy videos gone to completely stuck frame at some point. however, camera speed for me was fast from the begining so no comment on this part.
