N900 Control Panel App for Boot Video Changing ?

My questions is this - is it possible that someone(s) out there take it upon themselves to design a Control Panel program application that would make the editing of the 'Boot Video' a much easier and safer (for us newbie's) issue?

I am a newbie that has found Linux, openssh, root and 'vi' etc completely gibberish and beyond me and have heeded the warning re delving to deeply into the workings of the N900.

I think the N900 is an awesome bit of kit with so much potential and would like to adapt and personalise it more.

Over the last 24 hrs I have read and digested the thread started by Claesbas (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=32935) in relation to changing the awful Vanilla Hands of Nokia and found that it was just not for a simpleton like me !

It was only with some timely and very step by step basic help from Hermitoz that I was able to now have the start up video as the awesome maemo_flyby

So can this be achieved? Anyone willing to take this on?
