gps is the next thing on my todo list...

and after that i'll try to implement controlling through the accelerometers, that will be a a bit of work i think, because of the missing compass...

can sb who has tested stellarium on n900 report if they also have messed up fonts like in the screenshots?

ah and another thing oh my list is an alternative for deseleting stars, in the desktop application a rightclick does that. have to look if there other controls made with the mouse and find a solution like buttons etc

If only the N900 had a compass, this would be a perfect application for it.

Still looking forward to playing with it once it makes it into repositories.

the garage project was enabled, i am on the road now but i think tomorrow i'll be able to upload it and the sources (which are by now nearly equal to the official stellarium repo)

still waiting to get access to uploading into the maemo repositories... then it will also be available there...

    edit:
can not test it on n810, because I don't own that device. is OpenGLES and Qt4.6 available for it?

Yes, but not always. After a restart of the app it first showed up correctly.

I don't think that you have to install each pakage one by one, I think you can just use "dpkg -i stellarium_0.10.3r4182-1_armel.deb" and after you get dependency error use "apt-get -f install", this will install all needed packages. When it's done it should be installed.
I tried this but it didnt work

It came up with the dependancy issues

then if you run apt-get -f install it gives the following

    Correcting Dependancies ... Done
The following packages will be removed
    stellarium

    then removes Stellarium

This is probably related to the repositories being down - it can't find any available sources for the required packages, so uninstalls stellarium instead.

ahh thanks will try again once the repositories are back up again

That will also explain why when I tried the OP's method it came up with no libqt4 files found

so many bugs. need to optimise them all, does it use alot of CPU? If it does then it will drain battery really quickly when running it.
