HAM wouldn't update requiring a USB and some software which wouldn't run on linux anyway... so i did some apt-get upgrade and apt-get -f install and dpkg --configure -a and optified a few folders during the operating to free some space on / ...

After that it rebooted, upgraded and worked fine, nothing was lost...
(With lots of extras testing/devels too)

I updated over wifi @ ~15mbps. I did a backup because I thought I might lose some settings but everything went smoothly.

via apt-get @xterm, ran out of memory but got over it with reboot and continued updating and everything works perfectly.

Absolutely no problems here at all. N900 works better and is smoother after the update, I highly recommend it!

I saw all the complaints about un optified apps filling up the root directory so I avoided installing anything that was not available on the regular repos until the smoke cleared and we got our first FW update.
Now with latest update I am getting no more re boots.
I am happy and grateful we are using an open OS.
