Hi,
I'm writing this because I saw some posts having problem with media player widget's play button in the desktop.
I dont exactly remember if I had any issue with media player widget's play button in the desktop but I noticed it after the firmware update and thought it was a bug but after I deleted the widget from the desktop in edit mode and clicking done and againg adding the widget back solved the problem for me. Now anytime I hit play button plays the song for me. Hope it helps.

Doing this caused a few other widgets to disappear.
Not a big dealto put them back.

Disappearing of other widget is I guess caused from some other application you have installed from Extras or Extras-*. Problem with one such program will cause every other programs downloaded from similar source as above to disappear i think its nokia's implementation.
BTW, One has to do as I mentioned in post #1 after evey reboot coz I just checked and and had to redo it.
EDIT: HENCE, it is a bug and nokia should look into it.

I have the same issue. Is there any update on this ? I have to remove and add the widget after every reboot and not to mention, removing media player widget removes couple of other shortcuts as well that I have to put back again. Its not difficult to do but it is just annoying.

I too had to do it but I think only couple in all the reboots I have had since and had the problem of other widgets disappearing from the desktop once but never again. And hope they will fix it in the next FW update but not yet.

Sorry to bring this tread back from the dead but I'm still having this issues. What I noticed is that it after I stop the music, after some time, the player stops showing mp3 info (like artist name, song etc) on the widget and instead just shows the files name. That's when the play button stop responding and I have to remove the widget and put it back on in order to make it work. But after some time same thing happens again.
