@f2thak, I agree that the access to the phone app settings are a bit confusing, but when you actually think about it, this is how it should be implemented. As you said "phone app.." so all application specific settings should go into their respective app and not into system wide settings or "control panel", imagine having all the settings for all the integrated apps in one control panel... yes imagine Vista or Windows 7.. it's a bit of a nightmare

And yet, there is a phone settings button in the system wide settings "control panel" on the n900.

because phone app is phone app. phone settings are more like network settings.
just like you wont find web browsers settings behind connection settings.
only the name in settings is a bit misleading and imo that should be changed
