At the time of writing the maemo.org website is down. I have the Nokia update wizard but I think it is looking for file on maemo as it keeps telling me that I'm not connected to the internet (which obviously I am if you can read this) and I cannot get onto the maemo website. Any thoughts you have would be welcomed!

The Maemo website is not the only place to find the latest Nokia N800 Firmware.
Did you try the Nokia website itself ?
The latest OS , Flasher etc are normally seen at these two sites.

Yeah I have tried the Nokia website and the update wizard it recommends you install looks for a file which I assume is on the maeomo website as the manual update link from the Nokia website takes you to maemo. If anyone knows where else it may be, I'd be grateful!
