Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the N900. But Nokia could take a lesson from the Apple store and the Android software market.

I dont think this is the right thread to rant about the functionality of the current Ovi Store

This is a thread with a positive vibe, we are all sharing the anticipation of what Nokia will bring us.

Please, have a look around the forum, there are #$#-Threads about how bad things are and how much the n900 sucks compared to a spaceshuttle.

We all know the space shuttle ain't got jack on the N900.

I'll wait and repost my post after the new and improved Ovi store comes online and has the same problems. Fair enough?

Haha yeah I can live with that

But let's be serious for one moment, Nokia should really sit down and learn something from Apple. It can't be that hard, right? A new Ovi store and especially a well integrated Ovi Maps System would be a real blessing

The obvious next step for me would be to make the OVi store multi vendor. Why not open it up to all mobile devices , at least to other Symbian partners. That is one thing the store does today, cater to multi form factors.

Alright, they announced that All the Ovi services on the Map Part of the Application for which you had to pay for will be free in the future. But you need a new version of Ovi maps which - obviously - is not (yet) available for the N900.

After doing some searching, I can say it, but I won't.

And it would appear Ovi Maps on the N900 does not get the free "goodness".
