The answer is in the question. Software. More specifically, firmware.

Basicly, when the device was 1st released not all 3UK sim cards worked.

After the latest firmware update, they all work now

Hmm ... interesting So I`m from Bulgaria and here we have 3 GSM operators. If I buy the phone with contract from one of them can I use another two operators? And how can the software use 3 different SIMS? I can't explain myself this : The phone make a virtual SIM for each one and when I reboot the phone - I choice what GSM Operator to use? Or on the back side have 3 different pocket for SIMS ?

No, you can only use one SIM (and hence one operator) at a time. 3 in this case is just the name of an operator (taken because they started up when 3G was coming out).

Buy the phone unlocked and put any SIM you have in it

It`s not so easy - here in my country only one GSM operator sell the phone. And "by the Murphy's law" - it`s not my GSM operator ... damn' By this reason I ask for the supporting this 3 SIMS ...

I`ll be waiting - I have no choice

Thanks to all of you for your replies
