Just purchased scandisk 2g card via ebay. Unfortunately it much smaller than ebay image its tiny and called a micro SD.
Dont think it will fit into adaptor supplied with N800 so, have I bought wrong card or can I get suitable adaptor to fit and if so where online? (UK based)
Is there a definative list online as to what cards work best with N800 and online stores for prices/quality.
I still cant believe something so small can hold so much data.....
TIA

i have two in my n800 right now. there is a thread somewhere for working sdhc cards. search is your friend...

as for you microSD card, if you didnt get an adapter, you got hosed. i looked at newegg.com and tigerdirect.com and they dont sell adapters only. they have card+adapter sets only. good luck

Micro SD will definitely work. As for adapters...email the guy you purchased it from and see if he has it. If not, try radio shack, Computer stores, etc. You should be able to find one that works with it.

@brendan, most US online stores like NewEgg don't ship to UK..
but that 8 gig card looks appetizing, do you need to install anything extra to make it work?

yes, the standard nokia os image does not support the SDHC cards. you can use standard SD cards up to 4GB in size without doing anything special.

to use SDHC cards that are 4GB - currently 8GB in size (possibly larger sizes in the future...), you need the sdhc kernel update from a dude here named fanoush. there is whole thread on that. search around and you can find it.
