okay, found out how to have more statuses! I'm impressed actually how it's implemented in a way that resolves conflicts between multiple accounts' statuses.
When you go to availability through the status menu, you'll find "New status" button. I initially thought this would be like pidgin's status (like a personal message or something), however it's not. Clicking on it, will make you make you own status (like online/ busy ..etc) and specify the associated real status in every protocol. So picking this status later from availability will switch every protocol to this specified one.
