Hi there,

quite new to the N900 but I love it so far.

1. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to view the N900 screen in a window on the computer and control it too? That way I could check incoming messages right from my desktop. A bit the reverse of vncviewer on the N900, I guess...I read that VNC server isn't there for the N900 (yet), so maybe there is other software?

2. What's the deal with the OVI-suite? Why isn't it working with the Nokia N900? Is there a new release of the suite upcoming?

Thanks

I'm sorry but that ain't working: probably I must be doing something wrong...

And I find it way to difficult anyway: isn't there an easier solution for achieving my goal?

No.

You could have a look at remote desktop but that's just as odd to set up, since it's the same damned thing.

You need to set up networking with viable IP addresses first. Please search the forum, there's been several discussions about this. Look for VNC.

It's not as fast as a quad core but it didn't feel all that slow to me.

No playing games, but you can use the regular keyboard, see images, run apps, and use the terminal in a decent manner.

Get a monitor with PIP and use a composite adapter with the N900 video out

Well actually never mind that wont work since you cant control the N900 via computer.
