It is not about lib, it is about permission to see and install in Application manager. I got PackageView as example but actually I have a lot of stuff which can be installed via apt-get but is not seen now in Application Manager. If you want, I can dump here 485 package names only from Maemo extras and extras-devel. Only half of them is libs.

    I don't agree.

No - not everything in maemo repository is visible and that includes a lot of stuff. For exam, I learned about red pill after I was asked by somebody from Nokia to install bluez-hcidump but was not able to find it anythere. And blue pill magic shows me it.

Now much more stuff is under cover and can't be seen in Application Manager GUI because of red pill removal.

And I don't agree with you not agreeing .

Most people do not care to see most of the packages in a repository. At best it just takes up unnecessary room.. At worst it gets totally confusing for people.

So user A wants to install "something" and they do a search... not only do they get "something".. but they also get:

    libsomething
    libsomething-dev
    libsomething-en
    libsomething-es
    something-common
    something-data
    something-dev

And on .. and on... and they care about about this.. why? And - which one is a user just supposed to "assume" they can install again?

..and it is not seen in Application Manager anymore, of course.
    .

What is the difference between a wrong domain and a correct domain?

Then why are all the hundred-or-so localizations for zh_hk there? All the compriz sounds? I realize this is basically rhetorical.

    I need an ignore option.

OK, there is my updates to Gonvert, PackageView and WifiInfo? Where is 3g2g-switcher? Where is wifi-switcher - actually it is difficult even to find exactly it's name if I don't know at least part of it (and exactly, I am not sure about it;s name - I need to go to bugs.maemo.org to find out this)

And can you say me - how I can find what there are some new updates if Application Manager just ignores it?
