I had the same issue until I found load-applet (https://garage.maemo.org/projects/load-applet/) downloaded the package and installed "from file"

One of them is the CPU applet / run that I was used to install on the 770, but cannot get it show on the taskbar.
I already reboot the tablet once or twice but without results, also checked that it appears into the installed apps but nothing..
Also tried to install other types of CPU monitors but no one of them seems to work. The device was freshly freshed when I received it.
Any advice?
