Because there was a problem with the free space on the system partition.

I'm generally a Nokia user but I also get to experience many other devices through working in mobile. A few days after getting the N900, I ditched my day phone (5800 - I still regard as a very good device and a fantastic cost-effective music/video player); the occasional N95 (best camera phone around); my reserve device - BlackBerry Bold 9000 (nothing to recommend but was used for e-mail). The N900 has all the things that these other devices have.
I've used Ubuntu for two years and so the N900 is natural, open and pleasant. There's no going back now, and certainly the tediously over-hyped alternatives such as iPhone just can't cut it. I like what Apple have done, especially to the value chain, but the N900 blows the (30 month old) iPhone into the weeds - unless you love iTunes and all that goes with it :-)

Previous phone was HTC Touch HD and I dont miss it one bit now that I have got eBook and Comicbook reader on my n900 the only thing I miss is Document editing... That would be nice especially with the full qwerty.
before the n900 I had the SE w910... (have always had SE and always disliked Nokia for being non-logical in their UIs) the w910 is a nice little phone that I use on the occation Im going to a party where I know its gonna get wet and wild and from where Im probably gonna come crawling home...

i had a moto cliq recently. the thing i miss about it was its incredible contrast ratio (its blacks were BLACKer than any phone ive had). even though the resolution is so-so, it had the best looking colors ive seen on a phone in a while (even better than the n900). i also really miss the social integration of MOTOBLUR...it was awesome.

I definitely miss my E70 for its form factor, battery life, and that I can sync it to my Mac. I'm not sold on the N900's camera yet and do miss MMS for anybody I know that isn't using an iPhone.

3G, a decent browser, ssh, and a command line interface keep me hoping for improvements in the N900. Won't go back, but still can't recommend it for anyone but phone nerds.

Alas, why I'll likely never recommend the N900 to my friends

Non-nerd apps; USB charging - generic and reliable; Distinctive ring tones; GPS failure to lock; Competitive "maps" application; Supported MMS, iSync, Bluetooth

(The feeble FM transmitter bugs me too)

i now carry my E71 with N900. I love E71's form factor and i can type fast with the qwerty keyboard.

I am not satisfied with N900's thickness and the 'wide' qwerty, on which I can't type as fast as I do on E71. You know, my fingers need to 'travel' longer distance from one key to the other due to the qwerty keyboard's width.

E71's thinness also makes me feel _so good_. It's its browsing experience that really annoys me. I use my smartphone 70% for browsing, which is the primary reason for me to get a N900, not to mention my intention to try out a new promising platform from nokia. Some other things from E71 that I miss are:

- allow USSD codes (stupid N900, an unthinkable disappointment)
- some hardware keys to launch/switch to applications
- one handed operation
- google map native client
- nice/stable msn client
- imap idle for push email

Well, I do understand N900 is much more powerful device than the E71 and therefore more bulky (also due to the fact that it's 4/5 step of meamo, meaning nokia has yet optimized its size). However, I can't control but really miss the good feeling of holding/using a E71 (stainless steel casing is cool, too). I also understand that N900 is more a tablet than a phone, and therefore its horizontal qwerty.

Can I have best of both world?
