    Problem with preinstalled repositories

I can not update the pre installed repositories!

    I have no problems with:
Maemo Extras, Maemo Extras Testing and Mozilla Catalog

    but the preinstalled:
Nokia Programs, Nokia system-softwareopdates and Ovi (The names of the repositories are translated from Danish don't know the English names for them)
    are not able to update.

I think the problem started when I added the Maemo Extras Testing repository.

Can anyone help me fix this problem?

    A bit more information:

When I open the details about the repositories that does not work is says:

    Resolving host times out: downloads.maemo.nokia.com"

    Resolving host times out: downloads.maemo.nokia.com"

    Resolving host times out: downloads.maemo.nokia.com"

Can anybody tell me why this happens?

That looks like a network problem and not a problem with your repositories.

Try to change from 3G to wifi, or the other way around, to see if that helps.

Yeah. There have been issues with people using those repositories with WiFi. I think it might be a DNS issue or something.

There is nothing we could do from this end, it's the DNS resolver's fault on your ISP or your network setup's. AFAICT.

Then it's lucky that I'll be moving in a week changing both ISP and network setup.. :-)

There actually is a fix.. use google's DNS servers.

Not the most elegant solution... but should work.
