    Hey guyz,
before updating my n900 it was possible to connect to a vpn via wlan using the vpnc client ( in my case using the vpnc gui,too )
without having an internet connection working. ( i have to login to vpn to access the internet )

after updating vpn does not work without having a internet connection.

my way to connect before update:
connect to wlan -> type wep key ( or having saved in connections )
-> start vpnc gui -> select profile -> push "connect" button.

now when i push on "connect" button it sais, that "xxx.xxx.xxx" can not be resolved...

when i try the connection via internet ( umts ) i works, so the profile file is working fine..

an other question is, that usually, connecting to this wlan withoug using a vpn connection you will get a "landing page" when starting the browser ( laptop windows or linux )..
using the n900 with latest firmware this page doesnt show.

i didnt try this before updating, so i cant say if there changed something in this point.

i`d enjoy gettin some hints on thies one.

    thx

Sounds like a bug for vpnc to deal with i think

also, just wondering why the CAPS LOCK on the titles? kinda annoying

If I recall correctly there was a bug with vpnc and flashing to the new firmware that would break wlan after the flash.

Try checking through this thread for the fix: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=40567

IIRC the fix was this, but PLEASE check the thread first before applying anything:http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...8&postcount=41
