Hello, all. I am wondering if there are any high capacity batteries for use with the N800 (2400mA or 3200mA)? I have the device to update feeds and email on a regular basis and I find that if I don't recharge the N800 overnight the tablet chirps at me that the battery is low by lunchtime.

    Thanks.

I bought a MaxCell 1900mAh and ran some tests last month and it works 22 minutes longer than the regular Nokia N800 1500mAh batteries while watching video on max brightness settings. That's the highest I found so far.

I bought mine off eBay... this is the guy I bought it off of... he sells many MaxCells but it doesn't have the MaxCell 1900mAh BP-5L listed at the moment... maybe he has them though so email him...

Edit... I just found it for you from this guy... it was listed under Nokia 700 instead of BP-5L

euchreprof, do you charge your extra batteries in the tablet, or do you have (or know of) an external charger?

I use 3 batteries daily. 2 Original Nokia & 1 MaxCell. I usually go through atleast 2 per day so when I get home I use the Nokia N800 and an external charger I bought from eBay. (I never used the battery that came with the external charger because I think it's 600mAh)... Also... I have fully charged all batteries in this charger and then put them in the Nokia N800 and then tried to charge them some more but they always come out with a full charge.

PS: I also had to buy an extra Nokia Adapter Plug because this external charger doesn't come with one. If you don't need to charge both batteries at the same time then this is not needed though.

Thanks for the link. BoxWave sent my replacement miniSync cable (which does work as expected, for simultaneous charging and USB connectivity), so that would free my Nokia AC adapter for the external charger if I pick one up.

Wow, you must be constantly using your N800 or something. I've only very rarely drained my one battery in a day.

Yeah, I use it non stop at work duirng my 12 hour shifts. I always have my screen display settings on MAXIMUM and I watch a ton of videos and that zaps the battery so much quicker... the screen never goes off or even dims... I find I have roughly 3 hours of power using on each battery... maybe I should take bluetooth & wifi off while I am watching videos but I usually don't worry about that because I also have an emergency charger with me. All this fits inside my kickazz case and weighs under 1 pound though.

Do you have to convert your videos before playing them? or does the N800 know how to crop it accordingly? for example can I copy my DVD files on to it and have it just work?
