Google Maps works for me either fully and in its mobile incarnation.
Layers and so on, even Google Latitude is updated automatically.. I can move around with the Browser Mouse Mode easily and it's quite fast on Vodafone UK 3G network.

As this is the full blown google map app, how come it doesn't compare to itself?

does it actually track your location when your getting directions and moving though?

An alternative might be dual-booting into Android.
This would also offer gmail and solve other issues.
Nice to see community takes action this way.

Other alternative could be to port some of the free Android apps that are based on Open Street Map. This would evenoffer more than OVI maps navigation (not on roadmap for legacy M5 N900 anyhow)....

I Did. I now have a blue check mark by Traffic but it still would show the Traffic info on the map.
Does it work for u?
