After:
dpkg -i --force-confnew /var/cache/apt/archives/libicd-network-ipv4*

*reboot*

Ping google.com still returns (1.0.0.0)

EDIT: Can still browse web via browser.

I've had dns issues with my wlan also, mainly with updates from the repos( nokia's, maemo extras has always worked!!)( Browsing has always been fine). Manually adding dns entries( 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) in the advanced setting for my WLAN used to work prior to PR1.1 as a fix. Now this does not work now

I notice

in
/var/run/resolv.conf.wlan0

it picks up the DNS details from router which don't seem to work, regardless of me setting manual entries, If i disable the DNS on my router so it doesn't pick anything up from the router then these manual entries suddenly appear in /var/run/resolv.conf.wlan0 and everything works, but this would mean adding manual entires to any ofther devices on my network.

Hi,

I have the same problem: after having updated Maemo (the 89 MB package), DNS resolution doesn't work when using WLAN. When manually setting the following entry in resolv.conf: nameserver 192.168.0.1, I can browse again, but this certainly only works for my own router where I know the IP but unfortunately not in the general case.

Is there already a _working_ fix for that, or do I have to stick with guessing IP's? Also, I'd prefer to not try out some obscure dev libs in the hope it works again, because I really don't want to flash my quite expensive new phone...

...hmm, after having searched the whole forum, I found that post: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...7&postcount=53, which was very helpful (for anyone who is interested...), thanks.
