The key is actually in the additional symbol layout. At the keyboard, just press the 1st key at row 2 and then the 1st key at row 1.

You can get it on the virtual pop-up by hitting function (blue arrow) then CTRL, but I agree, I have spent ages looking for it before remebering about that.

That said, you would have to drop some other symbol from the keyboard.

And there are different methods to add these symbols directly to your keyboard or the X-Term toolbar. Use the search.
