Here is the relevant portion of the log. I tried without the "1" first, updated contact info, and tried again with the "1". First call "general error". Second call worked fine. Additionally, I just checked, this is a number that is Not in my Google Voice contacts (only on the N900).
I suspected the call out (~5 second call initially) was normal. I just wanted to note that it happened for anyone else playing along.
I've done a little sms'ing this morning as well. Everything appears to be working normally. No duplicate downloads, and GV appears to show the sms as "read" now as well.
**One note however (I don't know if this is something you have any contol over), the IM box doesn't show a character count like the SMS box does. I guess this is expected behavior for the N900.

Ok I didnt wait till class was over lol. When I first installed it, I rebooted my system, connected to the net on the restart and RTCOMM was not happy. I clicked on the settings, and there were 2 old entried when I tried TheOneRing previously. I deleted both entries and created a new one. As soon as I finished, I was greeted with 6-7 IM windows, SMS messages that were "new" on GV. It appears that that is working at least. All my contacts to appear online in the list as I assumed they would. Depending on the contact there are multiple entries due to multiple numbers.
When I click on the name, I can click on internet call, but it brings me to the internet call application in maemo, which immediately disconnects so it does not appear to be working to initiate the call yet.
Also the chat option which I assume is going to be used to txt is grayed out, can not click it. If there is anything else you want me to try out or any other info needed give me a shout out! Looking good so far very excited to see whats coming next!

I'm not sure what the differences are if any or how to get on the right version but this does indeed seem to be the issue

SUCCESS!!! kinda lol. TRO takes its best guess as to which call back to dial, which unfortunately was my second gizmo account located at my house which is why I didn't get the call back as expected. However I answered at home and it dialed as expected
As far as rtcom, how do Icheck out what version I am using. you mention HAM but that does not help

If so then I can go fix the bug in Dialcentral and make people with Maemo 4.1 happy.
