When I try to access Slimserver's server settings via the 770, i get the following error. Any ideas? How can I get rid of this message?

In order to request this URL from a Bookmark/Favorite, or some means other than following a link from the SlimServer web interface, you will need to use a URL with a \"cauth\" security parameter. If you received this error when following a link from the SlimServer web interface, you will want to make sure your web browser software (including proxy servers and spyware/privacy software) is allowing \"Referer\" headers to be sent. Below is the appropriate URL for the URL you attempted.

    http://192.168.1.100:9000/setup.html...86f503ebe5a09a

Because your CSRF protection level is set at 'MEDIUM', you can use the same ";cauth=" value for any URL; this means you should be more careful who you share your URLs with.

it was mentioned before on these forums that the opera on the 770 has some issues with not sending the referrer, but it was with images that this was noticed. i wonder if it ever sends the referrer like any normal browser should.

While I don't know how to fix it, I think I am having a similar problem.

Are you sure about the Slimserver address? On my system it is http://192.168.1.2:9000. I just got it up and running and it works fine.

On slim forums bklaas explains how to stream mp3 files from computer to 770 & use web interface to control via slimserver.

Point 770 audio player to http:your.computer.ip.address:9000/stream.mp3. Then open browser on 770 to http:your.computer.ip.address:9000.

Better than an ipodmaround the house. Limited only by computer hard drive.

I think I had this one before. I think you can lower the CSRF protection level in the server settings page. I'll look up the setting when I get home this evening.

Update: The CSRF protection level can be changed via Home / Server Settings / Security.

I am baffled by this problem you guys are having. On my Mac Powerbook running slimserver 6.2 I don't have this problem at all. I can select songs, add songs, skip songs, and I can modify my settings on my server and my player. Everything seems to work fine using the 770. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Ben Klass has now produced a Slimserver skin designed for the Nokia 770 - here's the thread from the Slim Devices forum, and here are some screenshots. It's a work in progress, but looks pretty good so far.
