I wonder why people rave so much about the built in speakers. I find them quite poor and basically useless except for system sounds.
I believe the OP was thinking of a sort of iPod substitute with ear phones.

In my experience, that gets you 6 hours + of music.
How much +, I've yet to find out (I've never listened to music for more than 6 hours in a row and I recharge often).![]()

Can someone tell me how long the battery of the N800 will last if I switch of WLAN, BT and the screen and just listen to MP3s?
Using it as an music player could justify spending so much money on a device I do not really need!
