    So it worked for you on previous versions of the OS? Does anyone know what the appropriate place to file a support request with Nokia is? This is becoming highly frustrating

    Not that this is even a remotely acceptable solution (angry eyes->Nokia), but I have fixed this problem by flashing my N900 back to the factory settings, including the user area, by following the directions here: http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/...&thread.id=168
