It is a single image of a little star, of which multiples are displayed during the window close animation. They animate in an expanding spiral. So, if you replaced it with a little mushroom cloud, you would see half a dozen little mushrooms clouds in an expanding spiral as a window closes. I tried replacing the star with different shapes, but ended up just eliminating the effect altogether by making wmWhiteSparkle.png a transparent image. Now I just see the window zoom/close and fade away without any sparkle at the end. Its actually pretty nice.
Leetut your stuff is amazing!!!
Please continue sharing your great mods, without guys like you I would be lost! Gonna give a thank

imo that is much deeper in the system. so you wont find the picture because it is somewhere in bootloader or nearby, all the files are found much later after partitions are mounted.
i believe that this is correct, the nokia start-up image ( or bootsplash as it would be called) is referenced in the boot loader configuration, simply replacing the file with another file of the same name would not(?) work, it would be similarly as disasterous as renaming your lilo boot splash or grub boot splash, although i think that if the referenced boot splash is not found during the re-installation of the bootloader, the bootloader simply comments it out. again this is all as far as i know, given my experience with linux across multiple distrobutions. if some one knows more, than by all means please correct me.
When you close a window there's a some starts/puff of smoke.
I thought a little mushroom cloud would be cool.
ha ha like the smog over the boro!
(only joking mate! being from sunderland i had to stick that one in!)
im hoping that theres a file somewhere that controls the size and speed and stuff for the sparkle, cos i like them and want them to be bigger
I have a Metal Gear Solid theme going on my N900. I've replaced the sparkle for a small white exclamation mark, looks pretty cool. Modded all the sounds too, it's all MGS for me baby!!!
I'm thinking, is there any way of making the N900 play a wav/mp3 when opening/closing the slider. I had this function on my N95 back in the day. Would be cool too implement it on the new phone...
Damn i love that N900
No need to go to the PC to make nice mods
A big thanks to qole and his easy debian !!
Gimp on easy debian = Mod on the fly
haven't tested it yet but i CAN'T imagine that gimp in easy debian runs well as some normal applications are struggeling with much easier things to do?! ^^
