After the disapointing realeas of the Ipad i was wondering about the posibility to make a touch screen that you can dock your N900 to and get a Ipad killer. It shoud be preaty straigth forward and you would get a device matching the Ipad in most ways.
no need you have it all in one hand with the n900.. more memory plus a real processor.. i mean and its a phone.. rumor has it the ipad will have skype but good luck making a phone call with no wifi and having a montly bill for 3g is dumb if its not a phone.
yip i could see something like the iType working, you use the n900 screen like the colour screen on the B&N nook and you use the iBig-ePaper screen to read your newspaper. the only thing stopping me from making it is the n900 doesn't have the same market penetration as the iPhone.
The point is to get a larger screen for eboks and web browsing.
rather than carry around a larger device to dock my N900 in, I would just get a larger device. A $300 netbook or something because then I get a lot more power and flexibility than the N900.
I love the N900 and our apps are expanding rapidly but its still no full blown linux or windows OS that you can do almost anything with.
The advantage of a stand alone device goes further than just that.
