I've had my n800 since February. It was working fine a week ago. I hadn't looked at it for a few days and then I noticed that it was turned off. I'm pretty sure that the battery had a good charge. When I tried to turn it on, I would get the white screen with the NOKIA logo and then it would turn off. With it turned off, I plugged in the recharger. This would bring up the white screen with the logo for a few seconds and then would go dark. A few seconds later, the process would repeat over and over. Does that mean it's dead? Does this classify as a WIRL?
I got this a Fry's with an extended warrantee. They had promissed that they would replace it immediately with a new one if anything went wrong. Let's see if they honor it.

You should try a different charger... I know one identical case where battery of N800 was exhausted due to long time of no use/charge. The original charger did not have enough oomph to get the device to start starting... it was just turning on and off constantly. Once plugged into another charger (in this case Nokia N80 charger) it booted up and started charging properly. After few minutes it was put back to the original charger and it worked fine with it...
